Guinea, the New Digital Epicenter in Africa

By hosting the Transform Africa Summit 2025, Conakry positioned itself as a digital capital of the continent. A look at this momentum.
In November 2025, Conakry hosted the Transform Africa Summit (TAS), the continent's largest summit dedicated to digital transformation. Co-organized by Smart Africa — an alliance of 42 African countries — and the Guinean government, the event brought together over 3,000 participants from more than 40 countries.
The central theme focused on artificial intelligence serving African development. 'AI must become a transformation tool serving African citizens,' declared Lacina Koné, CEO of Smart Africa.
Guinea also inaugurated its first national data center in September 2024, marking a key milestone in its digital sovereignty. This center allows Guinean administrations and businesses to store their data locally, reducing dependence on foreign servers.
For Guinean businesses, this momentum creates concrete opportunities: business process digitalization, ERP adoption like Odoo, accounting automation, and AI solution integration. At INTERACT GROUP, we support this transformation daily, from POLYPAC clinic to fuel transport with SILY TRANSPORT.
The Simandou 2040 vision, championed by the government, makes digital technology an essential lever for improving living conditions. It's a strong signal for all economic players in the country.
